Greenwich Private Doctors is led by Dr Melvyn Adjei MBBS, Bsc, MRCGP

I trained at St George’s Hospital Medical School and then went on to complete my post graduate training and General Practice training in London, where I was fortunate to work in some of the leading teaching hospitals in the UK.

Alongside being a Generalist, I have a passion for preventative medicine, weight management and Dermatology. I hold post graduate certifications in Lifestyle medicine and Weight Management and I am part of the MOBI Personalised Metabolic Care clinical team; working to deliver world class evidence based Obesity care. I am also a Member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Additionally, I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (Merit) and am a certified practitioner in Minor Surgery and Joint Injections.

Key to my approach to medicine involves taking the time to listen my patients, to understand them as a whole and to work with them to optimise their health. Prevention is key!

When not working I’ll be spending time with my family, exercising (usually cycling) or reading!

GP and Women’s Health – Dr Valerie Ademisoye Bsc (Hons), MBBS, MRCGP

I completed my medical degree at King’s College London, achieving a distinction in Special Studies, before going on to complete my General Practice training and obtaining Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).

I have a particular passion for supporting women through all stages of life and I have completed the British Menopause Society’s Management of the Menopause certificate. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based menopause care, offering personalised treatment plans and expert guidance to help women navigate perimenopause and menopause with confidence. My approach is centred on empowering women with the knowledge and support they need to optimise their health and wellbeing.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing the piano and staying active through weight lifting and netball!

Healthcare Technician – Anmol Hussain

As a dedicated Healthcare Technician working at Greenwich Private Doctors, I provide vital clinical support to both patients and the medical team. I specialise in conducting routine and advanced procedures—including blood tests, ECGs, ear wax microsuction and many more—ensuring each service is delivered with precision, care, and professionalism. Collaborating closely with the doctor, I help to create a seamless patient experience.

Alongside working at Greenwich Private Doctors, I also have many years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. My extensive background in pharmacy has equipped me with a deep understanding of medicine management and the crucial role it plays in achieving safe and effective treatment outcomes.

When not at work, I enjoy long walks in nature, indulging in a good book, or discovering new recipes in the kitchen!

Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner – Priya Chahal

My journey in healthcare began at the University of Wolverhampton, where I earned a Bachelor of Nursing with Honours in Adult Nursing. With over a decade of experience working across various specialties in the NHS, including Accident & Emergency, I bring a strong clinical foundation to my practice.

I have a particular passion for aesthetic medicine and love helping people feel confident and empowered in their own skin. My approach focuses on enhancing natural beauty while preserving each person’s unique features. I believe in delivering personalised treatments that leave people feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and staying active through yoga, running, cold plunges or anything that gets my body moving and feeling good.

Specialist Dietitian – Vasiliki Stavrou

My journey into the field of dietetics began in my teens when I was diagnosed with Irritable bowel syndrome, leading me to pursue a career in dietetics. I graduated with a First-class Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the London Metropolitan University. Throughout my career, I have undergone specialist training in areas of particular interest, including weight management as well as dietary management of diabetes and gastrointestinal functional disorders.

Through my extensive experience working in various medical specialties across esteemed London NHS Trusts and leading private healthcare providers, I honed my skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based dietary advice tailored to my clients’ unique needs and circumstances.

My overarching goal is to guide my clients toward improving their relationship with food and health status. Rejecting the notion of ‘good’ or ‘bad’ foods, I emphasize the importance of finding a balance that satisfies both the body and soul. I am committed to helping clients navigate this balance, ensuring a positive and guilt-free approach to dieting.

When not offering nutrition counselling, you’ll find me in the kitchen trying out new recipes with my little ones, singing, or enjoying Pilates classes!
